WHOOP Retail Fixtures
WHOOP Inc. Launched in 2025
Role:
Sole designer on the project. Mechanical engineering and manufacturing support from Image Model Co.
This project represents WHOOP’s first global retail fixture system. I developed a solution that supports both low-volume production and future mass manufacturing, requiring a design that can be efficiently produced through both CNC machining and potential for injection molding.
The goal was to create a singular platter that allow shoppers to experience WHOOP’s hardware and software in various retail environments and delivering a consistent shopping experience worldwide. The platter features a machined metal stand with a fluid form that emerges from the surface, creating a pill-shaped anchor for the strap. A flush, magnetically swappable text plate enables localization across languages and regional regulatory requirements. The iPad stand and cover are sculpted with a soft, approachable form to keep the focus on the software experience. The iPad is protected by a magnetic cover to deter theft ,and the platter mounts to tables using four helicoil screws. The metal stands are CNC-machined from a block of aluminum and chrome-plated for durability. The remaining components are machined from polycarbonate to resist chipping and finished in matte white paint.
