The Milestone Collection is a set of hard goods designed to express appreciation to our long-time members. Crafted from solid North American hard maple — a wood commonly used in sports stadiums — the box features a gentle, machined outer curve and a more dramatic inner curve that echoes the shape of a track, a defining icon that signals our roots in human performance. The lid is machined with the same track-shaped profile, featuring a scooped section that serves as a finger rest to lift the lid. The WHOOP MG strap is displayed on a recyclable paper pulp pillow — a nod to traditional fine watch packaging. The experience continues with a vegan leather tray for extra bands and accessories, a travel case, a custom torque hinge, and a personalized laser-etched name plaque that attaches magnetically to the inside of the lid. Maple lumber is first kiln-dried to reduce moisture content, which also results in a naturally darker, toasted hue. It’s then processed, graded, and assembled into a rectangular form using quarter-jointed side panels. A quarter-sawn, finger-jointed top panel is joined to the side panels at 45-degree angles, concealing the end grain for a seamless look. Each box is then machined on a multi-axis CNC to achieve all design features — a critical step that significantly improves precision over traditional power-tool methods. Finally, the box is hand-sanded and finished with one layer of oil-based base varnish and two layers of water-based surface varnish to preserve its natural color.
